IT is my hobby, and my brain doesn't sit still. Once I started building with Claude Code and VS Code, one idea rolled straight into the next, faster than my hands could keep up. So I started talking to my Mac instead, and it clicked. These days I run almost everything by voice.
The good dictation apps worked, but they wanted 15 dollars a month, or 249 for a licence. For a hobby that adds up fast. I figured it had to be simpler, and it turned out the hard part, the speech model, is free and runs right on your Mac.
Privacy is a big deal to me. It's why I only use Apple devices, and it's why Noqey is built the way it is: it runs on your Mac and your voice stays yours. In local mode it never leaves the device.
So I built Noqey for myself. Then I thought: why keep it to myself? If it lets you keep up with your own head too, if it buys you more time for your ideas, good. That's the whole point. I just want to share a bit of my crazy creative mind with the rest of the world.
